Approval of the application and granting of support under measure A8.4.2 of the rural development support in Estonia's CAP Strategic Plan 2023–2027 of the European Union.

Brief description of the activity:

The overall objective of the project is to offer Hiiumaa residents of different ages diverse opportunities for spending active leisure time in the naturally beautiful Ranna Surf Village.

Project objective:

  1. Activity V – Kitesurfing equipment – the objective is to provide participants in surf camps and training sessions, as well as other clients, with high-quality surfing equipment.
  2. Activity I – Motorboat – the objective is to ensure clients’ safety at sea, start offering water activities, and create an additional maritime rescue capability in the area.

Result:

  1. Surf Master LLC successfully implemented the project phase aimed at expanding the company’s surfing equipment base with new kitesurfing equipment. The acquisition of the new equipment makes it possible to provide even better quality and safety in our surf training, camps, and individual coaching sessions, making the services more attractive for both beginners and advanced participants. The acquired equipment includes professional kitesurfing and wingfoiling equipment that meets international safety standards and is ideally suited to the conditions at our location – the windy and changeable conditions of Hiiumaa. Thanks to the investment: the safety and efficiency of training increased; participant satisfaction and the quality of training improved; equipment availability during camps and training sessions increased even for larger groups; conditions were created for year-round use (including ice surfing and off-season training).
  2. The objective of the project was to acquire a motorboat to ensure clients’ safety at sea, begin offering water activities, and create additional maritime rescue capacity in the area.

The objectives have been fully achieved. The introduction of the motorboat has significantly improved the safety and quality of Ranna Surf Village’s operations. During the summer season, the boat is in daily use during training sessions, camps, and water sports events, enabling rapid response in dangerous situations and the safe support of clients on the water.

In addition, thanks to the motorboat, the opportunities to offer visitors more diverse water activities have expanded, including towed attractions (e.g. tubing, wakeboarding), e-foil training, and sea trip experiences. This has increased the tourism potential of the area and brought new visitors to the region.

The motorboat has also made a real contribution to maritime rescue preparedness – if necessary, it can be used for rapid response in dangerous situations or to assist others on the water.

In summary, it can be said that the set objectives were achieved as a result of the project, and the investment has contributed to improved safety, diversification of services, and increased attractiveness of the area.
