The use of wings is not limited to water sports only; they are also used for riding on snow, ice, or land. At present, inflatable, compact, and lightweight wind wings are used. Price includes: Wing surfing equipment, plus snowboarding equipment (board, boots, helmet). The training takes an average of 2 hours. Wingsurfing training in winter creates an indescribably cool experience, and the sport is very popular in Estonia. Although wing surfing requires physical effort, it is suitable for enthusiasts of all ages. There are plenty of windy days in winter, and the local weather conditions are ideal for wing surfing.
It is easiest to start wing surfing in winter, because getting moving on snow is significantly easier than in water. At the same time, the skills learned on snow can be successfully used when going out on the water.
During the wing surfing training, the surf school’s experienced instructors will teach you how to avoid dangerous situations, choose the right equipment, and assess weather conditions. You will learn how to set up the wing and ways to get the wing and snowboard/skis moving with the help of the wind.
Training sessions take place when wind conditions are at least 4 m/s.
Age limit from 10 years old.
Winter wing surfing training includes:
- Overview of wing development and safety
- Weather conditions (wind, cardinal directions)
- Technical terminology and description
- Setting up the inflatable wing
- Flying the wing ( size 2.1-6 m2)
- Starting to ride with the wing and snowboard/skis.
- Independent practice time.
