Surf and nature camp for children on Vormsi 2023.

Ages 9–13.

We welcome all children interested in surfing and nature to the surf and nature camp. At the camp, we learn different areas of surfing through a playful environment. We hike in nature and get to know nature (the sea, the forest) better. The 2023 program includes many new and developmental games and tasks. In addition, a night hike and orienteering. New workshops: food preparation, music and yoga.

The children’s camp is a great opportunity to acquire essential real-life knowledge about sea safety, take part in sports games, exciting craft workshops, and engage in surfing and swimming. During the exciting camp days, children learn five main surfing disciplines: wave surfing, wing surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, skimboarding, and we also get acquainted with kitesurfing (flying trainer kites). At the camp, children are divided into teams with the aim of developing cooperation between them. There will be various task-solving activities and competitions between teams. In the evening, we go to the sauna and talk about surf stories around the campfire. On one camp day, we take an excursion on Vormsi island. We visit the island’s sights and exciting places. Activities that develop creativity: handicrafts, drawing and coloring, imaginative work, self-expression, singing and acting, dancing, and much more.

At the end of the camp, the best teams will be determined based on the points tally and awarded prizes.

NB! Previous surfing experience and swimming skills are not required. It is important that the child is not afraid of water. All activities take place in shallow water and safety equipment is used (wetsuit, life jacket).
